Woodland Surgery Center Recognized as Quality Unit by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
Woodland, CA, January 1, 2012 – The Woodland Healthcare Surgery Center was honored with a certificate of recognition as a quality endoscopy unit by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
The ASGE recognizes endoscopy units that follow its guidelines on privileging, quality assurance, endoscope reprocessing and Centers for Disease Control infection control guidelines. An important requirement for the program is attendance at an educational course, “Improving Quality and Safety in Your Endoscopy Unit.” The program promotes excellence in patient care by recognizing dedication to quality in endoscopy.
“We are dedicated to providing high quality endoscopic care to our patients on a daily basis,” said Dr. Jason Umphress, Gastroenterologist at Woodland Healthcare. “The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy’s recognition reaffirms our team commitment to provide excellent care in a safe environment.”
The Woodland Healthcare Surgery Center was one of 27 endoscopy units nationwide that was recognized by the ASGE.
