General visiting hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult when they come to visit you. Some patient care areas, such as the Family Birth Center, Intensive Care and Mental Health, have special policies for visitors. For specific hours, please check with your nurse.
Our primary concern is for your care. We may ask your visitors to leave if we feel you need more rest.
Please discourage potential visitors with contagious illnesses or respiratory infections from visiting you. In addition, children who have been exposed to any childhood illness or rashes should not be encouraged to visit.
The front door of the hospital is closed and locked at 8 p.m. daily. Visitors and others may exit through these doors, but all incoming individuals are directed to the Outpatient/Emergency Services door located on the north side of the hospital. .
Parking
24-hour patient and visitor parking is available in the parking lot, located in front of the hospital or in front of the Surgery Center Building. Patients requiring a wheelchair or other assistance may access the hospital through the circle driveway at the hospital's entrance. Please have a family member or friend ask for assistance from either the Auxiliary member at the Information Desk, or a member of the Patient Registration staff. The Information Desk and Patient Registration are both located in the hospital lobby.
The Cafe on Cottonwood
The Cafe on Cottonwood, located on the first floor of the hospital, offers family members and visitors a variety of meals and snacks. The cafeteria also has vending machines offering a variety of snacks accessible 24 hours a day.
Gift Shop
The Woodland Healthcare Auxiliary Gift Shop is located in the main lobby of the hospital. The Gift Shop is run by our volunteer Auxiliary, so hours of operation sometimes vary. In addition to toiletries and other items, the Gift Shop carries the latest in books and magazines.
Cellular Phones
To avoid interference with medical equipment in use, please check with the nursing staff before using any electronic equipment.
Tobacco Free Facility
At Woodland Healthcare we are committed to caring for the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and staff. In keeping with the California State Law that prohibits smoking in public places, Woodland Healthcare is a tobacco-free facility. This means that smoking and the use of any tobacco product is strictly prohibited anywhere on our campus grounds, including our buildings, parking lots, and walkways. This policy applies to everyone, including patients, visitors, medical staff members, volunteers, vendors, and employees.
People who smoke or use tobacco will need to refrain from doing so on our campus. Nicotine replacement therapy can be ordered for patients. If you are a patient and you smoke or use tobacco, please consult with your physician. Upon request, we can provide smoking cessation resources or we can refer you for follow up assistance with the American Cancer Society.
