Woodland Healthcare’s labor and delivery facilities are tailored to the needs of families. Our staff cares for you with genuine warmth, dignity and respect. During labor and the birth of your baby, your privacy, comfort and safety are of the utmost importance.
At Woodland Healthcare’s Family Birth Center, women labor, give birth and recover with their new babies in a private room equipped with a special birthing bed. Our rooms are furnished to make you, your family and your baby feel comfortable and at home, with ready access to the latest medical equipment, just in case it's needed.
Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum
Most moms who deliver at Woodland Healthcare remain in the very same private room for their entire stay-from labor until they go home with their newborns. Healthy babies are cared for right in the home-like room and stay with their new families as much as desired. Each room is equipped with delivery and neonatal resuscitation equipment. Though the ideal scenario is for mom and baby to spend entire stay from labor through discharge in same room there are times when this is not possible. The hospital must keep some Labor/Delivery/Recover/Postpartum suites available for incoming women in labor. Therefore a patient who has had her baby may be moved to a postpartum room in order to make a Labor/Delivery/Postpartum/Delivery suite available for a mom in labor. Skin to Skin Care
Woodland Healthcare offers a program designed to encourage new parents to bond with their newborns immediately after birth. The Skin to Skin Care (SSC) Program for parents, establishes a warm, welcoming environment to greet the newborn during their first few hours in the hospital and fosters early closeness and connection for the new family. The SSC Program promotes early bonding and attachment that helps families stay connected and close throughout their lives. Skin to skin care helps with attachment and bonding, helps to regulate your baby’s temperature and improves infant brain development. Skin to skin care is a quiet time for your new family to bond and enjoy together.

Fetal Monitor Telemetry
Expectant moms who need their fetus to be monitored during labor shouldn't lose mobility. Our fetal monitoring equipment allows women the comfort of walking around the Birth Center while never compromising their safety or medical treatment.
